Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information Omnificity collects on omnificity.com and in the Omnificity Arcade, why we collect it, who helps us handle it, and the choices you have. We wrote it in plain language. If anything is unclear, email us.
Your name and email when you play, plus what you choose to give us when you ask for a result or book a call.
No ad trackers, no analytics cookies, no selling or renting of your information. Ever.
We only send newsletters and invitations if you tick the box. You can play without ticking it.
01Who we are
Omnificity LLC ("Omnificity", "we", "us") is a fractional data and AI leadership firm. We run omnificity.com and the Omnificity Arcade. For data protection laws such as the GDPR and UK GDPR, Omnificity is the controller of the personal information described here.
Contact us about anything in this policy at eric@omnificity.com.
02What we collect and why
| When | What we collect | Why | Legal basis (UK/EU) |
|---|---|---|---|
| You sign in to the Arcade | Name, email, LinkedIn URL if you add it, whether you ticked the marketing box, the date, and which game you opened | To let you play, remember you across games, and understand who uses the Arcade | Legitimate interests. Consent for marketing email, only if you tick the box |
| You play a game | Your answers, choices and scores in that game | To calculate and show your result | Legitimate interests |
| You request a readout, template or other reward | Name, company email, company, role, and your game answers and scores | To create and email what you asked for, and so Eric can follow up with you about it | Taking steps at your request (contract), and legitimate interests for the follow-up |
| You book a call | What you enter in the booking form, such as name, email and preferred time | To schedule and hold the call | Taking steps at your request (contract) |
| You email us | Your email address and what you write | To reply and keep a record of our conversation | Legitimate interests |
| You visit any page | Technical data your browser sends, such as IP address, browser type and the page requested | To deliver the site, keep it secure and stop abuse such as spam sign-ups | Legitimate interests |
"Legitimate interests" means we have a genuine business reason, such as running the Arcade and following up on a request you made, and we've weighed it against your rights. You can object at any time (see section 08).
03Marketing emails
The Arcade sign-in shows an optional box that reads: "Yes, Eric Gonzalez and Omnificity can email me insights on data and AI leadership, event invitations and new games. I can unsubscribe anytime." Ticking it is never required to play.
- If you tick it, we record that you agreed, when, and the exact wording you saw.
- If you don't, we won't add you to newsletters or campaigns. You'll still receive anything you specifically request, such as your Data Quest readout.
- You can withdraw consent anytime: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or email eric@omnificity.com. Withdrawing doesn't affect anything we sent before.
04Cookies and storage on your device
We don't use advertising or analytics cookies, and we don't use tracking pixels.
The Arcade saves your sign-in (name, email, LinkedIn URL if given, and your marketing choice) in your browser's local storage, so you only sign in once. This stays on your device and is only read by omnificity.com. Clear it anytime by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
Everything the site needs, including its fonts, is served from omnificity.com, so your browser doesn't connect to third-party services just by visiting. Links to other sites, such as LinkedIn, only take you there when you click them.
05Who we share it with
We don't sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we don't share it with advertisers. We use a small number of service providers who process it on our behalf, under contracts that limit how they can use it:
- Website hosting: serves the site, runs the Arcade's sign-in and request handling, and keeps a backup log of sign-ins and requests.
- Customer relationship management: where we keep contact details, requests and notes.
- Email and calendar: sends and stores our email, and runs our booking calendar.
To find out which providers we use today, email us.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or reorganization of our business. If that happens, this policy continues to apply to your information.
06International transfers
Omnificity is based in the United States, and our service providers may store data in the United States or other countries. When personal information from the UK, EU or Switzerland is transferred, we rely on recognized safeguards: the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and its UK and Swiss extensions where the provider participates, or Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission and the UK addendum.
07How long we keep it
- Contact and request records in our customer relationship manager: until you ask us to delete them, or three years after our last interaction with you, whichever comes first.
- The backup log of Arcade sign-ins and requests: 24 months.
- Emails: as long as needed for the conversation and our business records.
- Technical logs kept by our website hosting provider: for the short periods that provider sets.
A record of your marketing choice may be kept longer where we need it to show that we respected your choice.
08Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you and get a copy
- correct information that's wrong or incomplete
- delete your information
- object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it, including at any time for direct marketing
- receive your information in a portable format
- withdraw consent where we rely on it
- not be treated differently for using these rights
To use any of these rights, email eric@omnificity.com from the address you used with us, or tell us how to verify it's you. We'll respond within 30 days. In the United States, some state laws also give you the right to appeal our decision; if we decline a request, reply to our answer and ask us to reconsider.
If you're in the UK or EU and unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to your data protection authority. In the UK, that's the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). We'd appreciate the chance to fix things first.
09Your game results
Games like Data Quest calculate a score and a maturity level automatically from your answers. These results are self-assessments for your own use. We don't use them to make decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.
10Security
We use reputable providers, encrypted connections (HTTPS) and restricted access to the systems that hold your information. Only Omnificity can see Arcade sign-ins and requests. No online service is perfectly secure, so if we learn of a breach that affects you, we'll tell you as the law requires.
11Children
omnificity.com and the Arcade are for business professionals. They're not directed to anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect information from children. If you think a child has given us personal information, email us and we'll delete it.
12Changes to this policy
We'll update this policy when our practices change, and change the effective date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll tell people who have opted in to email from us.
